We pay the following calendar-year Charter at the end of October.  We used to ask for these (dues) in September.  But it took way too long, and in the early years it was hard to pay the Council on time.  So asking in May, often with a discount incentive, makes it easier, because there are way fewer people for the den leaders to call over the summer.

Revision as of 09:04, 21 September 2018

The Cub Scout year parallels the school year and dues is paid once per year. We pro-rate dues for people who join in January, Feb., and March because of the short year, no Pinewood Derby car, etc.
Dues:

  • May-December $96
  • January $64
  • February $56
  • March $48
  • April registers in May

Note: if there is more than one youth Scout in the home, subtract $10 to ensure only one Boy’s Life magazine arrives.

Dues cover:

  • Youth registration
  • Boy’s Life (magazine, starts approximately 2 months after joining)
  • Pinewood Derby car
  • Handbook
  • Neckerchief
